Today kid’s craft is GORGEOUS! This pressed flower jar is so pretty that all ages will want to make one! Add a light for a perfect little night light!

I know this is part of the kids craft camp- but these are just so darling that all ages will love to make them! They would even be a great centerpiece at a wedding or summer party especially when you put in a tea light!

Supplies to make pressed flower jar
- mason jars or clear glass votives
- pressed flowers (DIY or buy!)
- Tea lights
- Mod podge in matte (you could even do glow in the dark mod podge!
- paint brush
If you have littles that want to create- you can do flower stickers instead of pressed flowers since they are pretty delicate!

For a few weeks, press flowers between wax paper inside a book to create your own pressed flowers! I also saw a reel where a girl was pressing flowers with a low iron in between a tea towel if you need to press flowers quickly!
How to make a pressed flower jar
Lay out all the flowers so you can easily grab them since you want to move fast once you apply the mod podge.
You want to work in sections. Do a few strokes of mod podge and then apply flowers.

If you do mod podge all over, it will dry faster than you can apply the embellishments.
These flowers are pretty delicate- so I recommend using a set of tweezers to grab them.

Once the mod podge dries, I go over the entire jar with another layer.

This seals in the top of the flowers and makes the whole glass votive have a matte finish. So make sure you go all the way up to the top and not just around the flowers.

Let dry.
You can add a ribbon around the jar or tie a wire around the lip so you can hang them up.

What to do with these jars
Use the jars to hold treasures, your favorite writing utensils, a bouquet of flowers etc.
While these are beautiful as is- we wanted to use them around our patio. We added in battery-operated tea lights. They glow so pretty!

If you used the glow-in-the-dark mod podge- when you turn off the lights, they should still have a nice glow!
I thought these would be an amazing craft to do while camping! I’m adding it to my girl’s camp craft roundup!

Sticker version of flower jar
Here is what the sticker one looked like. Just omit the mod modge and peel and stick the flowers how you want them! Perfect for little kids that want in on the crafting fun!
