There is a common theme on this blog…chore charts! I pretty much come up with a new strategy every summer! My kids totally love it (said sooooo sarcastically!) But I want them to realize that the house doesn’t magically clean itself and their closet doesn’t automatically produce clean hung up clothes. It takes a lot of work! PLUS…the chores take LESS than 30 minutes…so they have about 15 hours of just playing and reading etc!
So today’s throwback–I dedicate it ALL to chores! LUCKY kids! They usually have their everyday chores: brush teeth, make bed, clean room, read for 30 minutes. Then they usually have an extra chore of my choosing! Â Which one works the best for you?
Chore sticks and uh oh jar! Basically if the kids get caught fighting or whining or saying I’m bored…they have to chose a stick! Some sticks are fun. Some are easy. Some are hard. Luck of the draw!Â
