per my husband’s request..I cleaned out my clothes…
this was ONE pile (I have one hiding in my laundry room too!)
he was so excited that I was finally getting rid of something (hoardersrus)
but little did he know..I had no intention of giving this to some thirft shop.
It was going into my refashionista pile!
and before this pile overtakes me… thought I had better come up with something
I was at Downeast recently…I saw the cutest little cardigan for my daughter.
but since my daughter already had a white cardigan..I just couldn’t justify buying it….
(I did however buy this skirt for my 3 year old)
(and a matching coral top)
so I took this old white shirt (old navy) I bought it cause it was a dollar…and three sizes to big…and have had it for 4 years…..
I cut out little flower/butterfly shapes..i think any shape would work though..
Then I just took a needle and thread and made a little x in the center of each one…
when i would go to add a new one..I tucked it a little under the other ones…so they were all overlapping
she’s killin me with that binky!

Wow! The sweaters look beautiful.
Gorgeous! What a great idea! I bet your daughter (and husband) love it!
Superb job! This is gorgeous!
That top is so stinkin' cute! Do you think it would look just as cute on a "mommy" size cardigan? I just might try that! Thanks for sharing!

Adorable…thanks for sharing.
That is amazing! It turned out adorable! I am not much of a seamstress but it makes me want to do it too! Awesome 🙂
Great idea – so cute!
Love it! Cute! Cute! Cute! As for your little beauty…not sure how old she is but if you are trying to wean her off the binky we are big fans of the binky fairy – or "nonny fairy" as my son called his a nonny for whatever reason! LOL! We told him the nonny fairy would come and collect it and we put it in a little velvet bag and put it out on the front porch. The nonny fairy would take it and give it to a little baby who was in need of one…and of course she left a gift behind 😉 He wimpered for just a bit that first night and then we just talked about the nonny fairy and helping out another baby 😉

LOVE IT! I did the same thing recently… Hubby and I separate closets, that would be fine if they weren't in different parts of the house… so I packed 2 rubbermade containers with clothes to refashion (ihate throwing away clothing, especially when it can be re used so I don't have to buy more. hee hee
I think I need to make one for myself. Too cute! Thanks for the info on the rings. I just moved to North Carolina so I am going to try a bead and jewelry shop in the historic district and see what I can find.
Wow that sweater turned out so cute 🙂 Great Job….your daughter is adorable!
OOOOOH~ love it! I'm totally inspired to go through the Goodwill bin and see what I can find!
