Today’s craft is GORGEOUS! This pressed flower pumpkin is so pretty that you will want to leave it up all year long!

If you need a fun fall craft, look no further! We did these cute pressed flower pumpkins at a craft day with my daughters and they turned out so adorable! It’s such an easy DIY that most ages and skill level should be able to do it!

Supplies to make pressed flower pumpkin
- Pumpkins (fake or real!)
- pressed flowers (DIY or buy!)
- Mod podge in matte (you could even do glow in the dark mod podge!
- paint brush
We created these on real pumpkins- but if you do fake ones, you can reuse them year after year!
There are lots of options with pressed flowers! THIS set is a perfect fall color! Just take in account the color of pumpkin you are using when buying flowers! We did one whole set of pressed flowers for about 3 pumpkins if you are going all the way around!
If you have littles that want to create- you can do flower stickers instead of pressed flowers since they are pretty delicate!

TO MAKE YOUR OWN PRESSED FLOWERS: For a few weeks, press flowers between wax paper inside a book to create your own pressed flowers! I also saw a reel where a girl pressed flowers with a low iron in between a tea towel if you need to press flowers quickly!
How to make a pressed flower pumpkin
Step 1: Wash your pumpkin

You need to get off any dirt on your pumpkin! Dry your pumpkin completely before starting.
Step 2: Lay out all the flowers
Laying them all out makes it easy to grab them since you want to move fast once you apply the mod podge. Some of the flowers in our package stuck together so spread them all out.
Step 3: Mod podge in sections.

You want to work in sections. Apply a few strokes of Mod Podge and then apply flowers.
If you do mod podge all over, it will more than likely dry before you can get all the leaves and flowers pressed on.
Step 4: Apply the flowers

These flowers are pretty delicate- so I recommend using a set of tweezers to grab them.
The petals are can easily wrinkle and break off, so instead of brush strokes, try patting the mod podge on.

The big long greenery pieces are pretty stiff and don’t curve around the pumpkin very well. We had to snip them into little pieces to help lay flat on the pumpkins.
Step 5: Mod Podge
Once the mod podge dries, I go over the flowers with another layer to really make it secure!

Step 6: Let dry.
You can add in ribbon around the stem for an added touch!

I thought these would be an amazing craft to do while camping! I’m adding it to my girl’s camp craft roundup!

What to do with leftover flowers
If you have some leftover pressed flowers, put them on some mason jars for adorable lights!
