๐จ How to Make This Earth Day Craft
We are going old school with this craft because I did this craft for EVERY HOLIDAY from grades 3-5th! I don’t know why this was the go-to craft at school- probably because it was inexpensive and pretty easy!

1. Print Your Template
Start by printing your Earth Day printable on cardstock for durability.
If you are looking for a great printer to use โ I love my HP! I wrote up a whole post why The reasons I love the printer. This post also shows how you can make sure you are getting the best prints by adjusting your settings!
IF YOU DONโT HAVE A PRINTER: You can also upload the files to staples or office max and have them print them! Sometimes the local library has a printer for public use!
2. Cut Out the Pieces
Fold the tissue paper into quadrants. Cut into 1 inch strips and then cut into 1 inch square pieces. You only need one sheet per color. I only used about half of the green and 3/4 of the blue sheet of tissue paper.

3. Twist square
Take your 1 inch square of tissue paper. Put it in on top of the eraser of your pencil and push down the sides. I slightly twist as I push down.

4. Add glue
Add a dob of glue to the top and place onto the printable in the correct color section.

You can also spread the glue in sections lightly on the paper instead of gluing each piece individually.
I created some printables with color in case the kids need a guide.

5. Alternative to glue
I got a section done and realized it was taking so long. We must have had a lot of patience growing up! I pulled an audible and decided to grab some double-sided tape and cover the earth. This made adding the tissue paper way faster! I definitely recommend this route!

6. Fill in completely
When you get all the earth filled in, push the tissue paper around and make sure there are no blank spots hiding!

When it’s done, it’s full of texture and almost fuzzy!

You can embellish it with arms and legs and arms and mouth! Like a Mr. Potato head but instead Mr. Earth!
