I finished this sweet memory blanket for my baby boy…
omg. how fast did he grow up!!! (heart strings!)
I made it almost a year ago. (you got a sneak peak here)
it’s filled with all his old baby blankets, favorite t-shirts, pillows, crib bedding, curtains, all sorts of fun baby things!!!!
And we love to look at it and remember! (i made one for my daughter HERE)
i complained about sewing knit…and someone mention you use interfacing and iron it on underneath to keep it from stretching!
oh! so brilliant!!!!!

4. was a checkered flag in his nursery

there are a lot of fabric that has meaning here too….there is a sleeping mask made from pirate material. Â and the lightning mcqueen material represents that year that he would carrying around the red mcqueen car and blue mcqueen car in each hand (i have pictures of him sleeping with them.) and i always use to bribe my kids when i took them to joanns that they could pick out fabric (it was when i was selling crayon rolls/ handwarmers and i needed fabric. and i’m a hoarder) and so most of the extra squares are ones he hand picked.
see..i took pictures a year ago…
and then they sat there ……
i hate to say it…but as much as i miss my old house…i don’t miss my old house!
my eldest daughter just reminded me that she has yet to receive a quilt……
i hope she doesn’t hold her breath!
