If you are any kind of follower of mine- you KNOW I have quite an obsession with vinyl. I use it the most out of all the crap in my craft room! So when Expressions Vinyl asked me to curate Novembers’ vinyl Mystery Box I HAD to say yes!
First. If you aren’t signed up- GET SIGNED UP HERE TO RECIEVE THE NEXT MYSTERY BOX!
Let’s discuss the Vinyl box before we show you what’s inside and what I made! Expressions Vinyl put these amazing boxes together. They are chock full of coordinating vinyl. And it’s all a SECRET! They don’t tell you what’s in it and won’t post any videos or photos until everyone has received their mystery box! That’s the best part! It’s such a fun surprise to see what’s inside!
EV Mystery Boxes ship every other month. They have an awesome subscription program so you never have to miss out! You can sign up and read all the nitty gritty about it here!
(I did curate a Mystery box for Expressions Vinyl last year. You can see my July Vinyl Mystery Box here!)
What’s in a Vinyl Mystery Box?
These Mystery Boxes are filled with both heat transfer vinyl and adhesive vinyl. (and usually a few sheets of transfer tape. There is always some kind of cool unique vinyl that you may have not had a chance to play around with as well as a patterned vinyl that isn’t released yet! (They release the new patterns a month after the box is released! The Vinyl is packaged in adhesive packs and heat transfer packs and has a list so you know exactly what you are getting (as well as cut and heat settings!)
UPDATE: The new patterns have been released:
AND on top of the cool vinyl-you get a bundle of Cut files emailed to you! They usually add up to about $60 worth of cut files! AND one of my favorite things about the EV Mystery box is that they give you all the fun ideas of what to do with the vinyl and cut files! They have lots of projects to help spark some creativity!
AND THAT’S WHY I’M HERE!
I’m going to show you the fun things you can do with all these cute cut files and vinyl!
Keep in mind. All the stuff I’m using is either a cut file from the bundle or vinyl from the Box! I have made the majority of my cut files available in my shop! You can find the cut files here! There is a variety. Christmas, new years, winter, even some valentines cut files!
What to make with your Adhesive vinyl Mystery Box
STICKERS
Let’s start off by talking about the piece of vinyl that looks like a sheet of paper! It’s printable vinyl! I use it all the time to make stickers! I have a whole series on how to create, cut out and make stickers! I’ve tried so many different types of sticker paper and this Expressions vinyl printable vinyl was the BEST! So I knew I had to include it in my EV Box!
I included two different designs that you could use with this sticker paper! One is an advent! Just print, cut out and add to cute bags with treats inside for any easy Christmas countdown!
The second one is a Christmas sticker set! Perfect to jazz up your planner or the back of your Christmas cards!
Cup of cheer
This color changing vinyl is super fun to play around with! I love that it looks great as white- but get near a window and watch it change like magic!
