“Organized chaos” is a term that many teachers are all too familiar with. The constant juggling of lesson plans, grading, and classroom management can be overwhelming to say the least. But what if there was a solution to help alleviate some of this stress and bring more order to the chaos? Enter the Teacher Supply Caddy – a game-changing tool designed to streamline classroom organization and enhance teaching efficiency by having everything you need at your fingertips! And luckily, Hobby Lobby has all the teacher supplies to make this a one-stop shop DIY!
I say it every year, but I’m so grateful for teachers! They are superheros! While I’m not a teacher, I am putting this caddy together as a gift for one! So whether you are making it for yourself as a teacher or something to give to an amazing teacher hopefully you will be inspired!
Picking out a Caddy
The most important step is picking out a storage container to put all the teacher supplies in!
I fell in love with this clear acrylic one. It has a handle so you can easily move it around your classroom—a drawer on the bottom for all the small supplies. I also love that it’s clear so you can easily see all your items!

But don’t worry, if you want to go a different route than the one I chose. Hobby Lobby has a whole section of so many storage containers! Big, small, some that spin, clear and colorful! I’m sure you will be able to find exactly what you are looking for!

What to put in a Teacher Supply Caddy
There are so many things a teacher needs, some that are obvious, like scissors. And some that aren’t as obvious, like mints or thank you cards! I asked a couple of teacher friends to help me come up with a list, but if you think of anything more to add, please leave me a comment! And like I mentioned, I got all the cute school supplies at Hobby Lobby! AND most were on sale 40% off!

Embellish the Caddy
Before we load up our little cart with the school supplies, I wanted to put my own personal touches on it! I grabbed some darling stickers from Hobby Lobby and wrote out the teacher’s name. You could also write out “be Kind” or “have a great day” if you didn’t want to make it teacher-specific!

Add the teacher supplies
Then it’s time to load it up! There is no correct way to do it! I like putting bigger things in the back and tried to keep the dry eraser markers away from the Sharpies so there wasn’t any mix-ups that ended up with Sharpie on the whiteboard!

Once I had it arranged how I liked, I ended up tying a ribbon on it! (it is a gift!) If the ribbon gets in the way, you can easily take it off!
If you are giving this as a gift, you can print off this cute thank you tag to hang on it!

I was surprised by how much this caddy could hold! I even went back to Hobby Lobby to grab a few more things! My mom (the teacher I’m giving this to) has lots of scissors, so I left some space for her to add in the supplies she already has!

While this caddy is made specifically for teachers, you can take the same basic ideas and make it kid-friendly. Markers, glue, crayon, kid-friendly scissors, pencils, etc. Then it could sit in the classroom, and kids could grab things as they needed! You could even adapt it for an art station at home!

And here it is all finished! Full of supplies and ready for the new school year!
