My kids are obsessed with stickers- so today we are going to make your own stickers! Kids will love seeing their designs and doodles on their notebooks and water bottles! And it’s easier than you think!
I don’t know if you have seen a kid’s water bottle lately–but they are usually covered with stickers! So today’s craft is doodling up your own stickers and proudly showing off your creations!
Supplies to make your own Stickers
- Inkjet printable Vinyl
- Laminate (economy or premium)
- markers (crayola and sharpies both worked!)
- scissors
I did grab the Expressions Vinyl starter kit that has everything you need to make these stickers
I just gave each kid a sheet and let them decorate it. If you want to have them doodle on a regular paper and then take a picture of it and print it out you could do that. Saves you if they mess up or scribble all over.
Stickers have a white outline- So I made sure that nothing was too close to each other.
After it’s all said and done- I laid over the laminate sheet. You peel off the backing and stick it. This is what protects it and makes it waterproof. Smooth out any wrinkles or bubbles and get it nice and stuck!
After the laminate is on, take your scissors and trim around each design (keeping that white outline)
Then peel and stick. The laminate really makes it feel like a sticker!
These DIY stickers are so fun to put on anything!
and I know you will ask, they are waterproof! I wouldn’t recommend putting it in the dishwasher- but it should hold up to hand washing!
If you aren’t wanting to doodle your own, I do have a bunch of sticker printables here!
And I feel obligated to tell you that your silhouette cameo will be able to cut these out in case you don’t want to hand cut them- I have a whole video showing you how!
Here is an image to pin if you need to save this for later!
I have a whole slew of fun ideas on my Kid’s craft camp!
