Here is the inspiration to create your own darling Buddy the ELF themed Tree! So many fun DIYS!

Elf is one of the most quoted Christmas movie–Because it’s just so darn great! I decided to take all my favorite quotes and items to make a Buddy the Elf Themed tree. You will love all the fun elements that make this tree magical!
Let’s talk about the elf tree. Lots of things are DIY (of course!) So you can create your very own version of the tree.

Things to DIY to create your own Elf Tree
Let’s jump in and talk about a few DIYS!

Quote Boards
My favorite part about this tree is all the movie quotes! There are so many great one liners! I painted the chalkboards yellow to pop from the green tree and to pull the yellow from Buddy’s outfit.

I cut out each cut file with white adhesive vinyl and applied them to the chalkboards.

If you don’t have a big tree–or you want to fit more on your tree- you could add these cut files to ornaments instead of chalkboards so they don’t take up as much space!

You can grab all these cut files here!

Elf Ornament
First up is the elf ornament! I just added vinyl to a blank flat ornament to mimic Buddy’s outfit! I just used my scissors- you could also paint it directly on the ornament!

Narwhal!
Oriental trading had a large wood one–So I had to paint him to look like the narwhal in the movie. You could also try to find a stuffy if you wanted to go that route!

Look how cute he turned out!

Giant Candy Canes
Giant Candy canes- I actually blew up some boom sticks and wrapped them with the red and white striped plastic tablecloth. I just used some tape to wrap them and then stuck them in the tree all around!

It added a lot of fun to the tree.

Snowflakes
Spray-painted some wood snowflakes white to add around the tree. You can add glitter to make them sparkle as well.

I actually hung lots of fun snowflakes in the background (Like when Buddy was getting ready for Santa) But in the end photos it was a bit too busy so I ended up hanging a white sheet over it. I also used the plastic striped sheet to cover the ground.

Best cup of Coffee
Added some vinyl to a mug and hung it in a tree. A perfect nod to one of my favorite scenes!

Candy Cane Forest
Cut out an arrow shape with wood to make a cute sign pointing to the candy cane forest.

Present under the tree
I wrapped up an empty box and for “someone special”

And included is a card from Buddy! I found the image on Google and just drew my own card.

Etch a Sketch
I had an Etch A Sketch that I added removable vinyl to. I can easily take it off when Christmas is over!

Decorate the Elf Tree
Once I had all the DIYS put together I added all the little extras-
Added some cotton balls (My finger has a heartbeat)

Maple syrup (of course) with some spaghetti and jelly beans (spaghetti is yarn and jelly beans are pom poms!)

I stuck in the foam cut out I got of Santa.

Snowballs were, of course, added to the bottom of the tree as well!

Tollhouse cookie dough was actually recalled when I was taking photos–but I wanted to get a package and save the wrapper and stuff it with stuffing to hang on the tree!

Another find was a rocking horse ornament!

This tree is just full of FUN!

You guys! I love it so much!

The giant buddy the elf standup really makes the whole tree in my opinion!

I know I used these cut files to create ornaments- but they would be darling on shirts, wall art or wreaths!
