so..in my church (go here to read more about it) we have a young woman’s program (ages 12-18) We have mutual every tuesday night and we work on our personal progress (goals and activities to keep us on the right path)
and they put me in charge of them (don’t know what they were thinking–probably i act like i’m 14 so it’s a good fit….)
anyways…i wanted to share some random things we have been doing and some printables….
first up (i stole this from my sister)
skittle bowling…
the jist is this–close your eyes..grab a candy (i acutally mixed m and ms and skittles together)
and omigosh they are gross mixed. how can two great tasting candies be so gross when eaten together??
grab a candy–whatever color it is –you do the fun thing assigned to it as you bowl!
we added a fun twist–we (more me than anyone else) have been trying to learn the colors associated with each value–
so if you drew a blue…and knew that divine nature was blue you could bowl regular.
(we only ended up with one bowl down a completely wrong lane due to some closed eyes bowling!)
then i made some printables for them to take home to review (each value is color coordinated)
bowling — (go HERE for a write up of the “rules”)
and here’s all the printables…(keep scrolling….i’ve got more to say!)
–man. that was a lot of values.
anyways…for our personal progress–my mom actually is in the young womans too–so she tells me the fun things they do…and one was these personal progress reminders…so i knocked them off…this one was march’s..
here’s april: (bath and body works was having a killer deal–but you could buy packs of 3 hand sanitizer from the dollar store)
(i should mention we only have 3 girls….small group so if you have a ton of girls–well..you will probably have to be alot more frugal!)
and may:
got these fun flipflops from jcpenneys for $1. LOADS of colors!
(stand in holy places is the 2013 theme!)
and my mom texted me the handout they just got…
so i made a june one:
just right click and save picture and you should be able to print it from your computer!
go HERE for more personal progress printables!
and here for a fun mutual night activity

I love these ideas! I shared this on Facebook with my sister in law, she’s actually in the Young Women’s here… I think that would be one of the funnest callings!!!

I love these Easter handouts, but I don’t see where to print them off. Is there anyway you could send me a file for them?

I just found this awesome post on Pinterest. I’m the YW pres in my ward. Keeping my girls interested in personal progress is one of the hardest parts of my calling. Thank you for these great ideas!!!
