Todays post is from SO MANY COMMENTS on Instagram! Everyone wants to know where the best place to buy shirts to put heat transfer vinyl on! I already wrote up a post here about vinyl blanks–and I included some links there. BUT today we are delving deeper! I have been buying shirts…..so many shirts. I wanted an honest comparison of ALL the shirts. (Okay–I bought a ton…but not ALL of them!) So here we go! The very best t-shirt blanks to buy!
These shirts are all from Jiffy Shirts. I trust Jiffy shirts. Loads of options and FAST shipping! For this comparison- I am doing short sleeve shirts in unisex size.
Downside to Jiffy Shirts: You do have to have spend $59 to get free shipping. So if you just need one shirt-you might want to head to Walmart or Hobby Lobby. But if you are making a whole bunch of shirts to sale or for family reunions this is your place! I’m always making shirts so I just made sure I had every color in my size.
In case you need supplies to make all the fun things to put on ALL these shirts:
Vinyl: I buy all of my vinyl from Expressions Vinyl. It’s the best quality and they have SO MANY options! Heat transfer Vinyl for bags and shirts, adhesive vinyl for mugs and signs, and check out their patterned vinyl.
Cutting Machine: I use a silhouette cameo (but all these svgs are compatible with cricut) These are some of my favorite Silhouette bundles you can grab right now on Amazon:
- White one: https://amzn.to/3dfe2cr
- black one: https://amzn.to/3jV1NEw
- Pink one: https://amzn.to/33Kb4JM

Okay. Let’s Jump in!
My very FAVORITE SHIRT to buy from Jiffy Shirts is…
parum pum pum pum.
Bella Canvas Unisex.
It is so soft and falls really well on the body. The shirt is pretty true to size and there is minimal shrinkage. *I was in the pool*
I also should mention…99 colors. 99. That’s a lot of colors.
It is not the cheapest of all the shirts-but it’s buttery soft and if you are selling these-I promise your customers will LOVE THEM! (The more you buy- the more of a discount you can get!)
I used them for when I made my sister and mom all Disney shirts!
For the record- I tried the ladies’ favorite t-shirt from Bella Canvas.
It is super soft too–but ran EXTREMELY Small. I sized up two sizes! I do like it under my overalls.
SECOND FAVORITE SHIRT:
It compares in softness and fit. The only reason why it’s number two and not number one is that the color options are nearly as good as bella canvas! It does have all the basics- and the price is the same–but if you want a peach or periwinkle–hit up Bella Canvas.
I did buy the Next Level cvc–it’s 100% ringspun cotton fine jersey –so it’s more expensive. But side by side I couldn’t really feel a difference!
( I also bought the ladies fitted shirt–and same things as the Bella Canvas one–it ran really small!
THIRD FAVORITE SHIRT:
This one is a little bit cheaper. Very soft and has good color choices. I haven’t washed it yet to see how it holds up!
Now I’m just going to run through some others and give you a rundown of what I think:
Not as soft. But cheaper.
Nice. Not nearly as soft and not nearly as many colors.
This one is soft- but limited colors and a little more expensive.
Not a bad shirt-not as soft but less expensive!
Comfort colors (this one came in midweight)
Too heavy. Reminds me of the t-shirts from youth.
I splurged and got the Alternative shirt. I wanted to see what was so much better about it for being so much more expensive than the rest.
I actually like it…but not worth the price tag!
I love this shirt! I only wish it came in more colors!
BONUS: I grabbed a Bella Canvas Sweatshirt! I LOVE IT SO MUCH! The sleeves are long. The material is soft and I basically want to live in them!
I snagged a Hanes version of this sweatshirt–but not as soft! $10 cheaper though!
So if you are looking for a long sleeve, tank, raglan t or kids t-shirt–I would stick with Bella Canvas! There are actually quite a lot of good reviews on the website!
Here is an image you can pin to save for later!

Thank you for the tips. I will give Jiffy another try. I have been using epic sports, and have had great success so far, but I found that buying from clearance (average $1.99 per shirt) is awesome, until u want to re-order, and they dont have the shirt in stock any more.
Jiffy has been out of some colors! I think so many more people are getting crafty– which is awesome except when we can’t find the color of shirt we need in stock!
