Last year I said I LOVED the fourth of July. Then it rained….my husband scared me every half an hour with those loud dumb fireworks…and my daughter started a fire with a sparkler on a blanket and my sister had to stamp it out and got burned in the process (thanks again Hayley!) So I am going to say….I love what the fourth of July represents! and this year we are making some fun streamers that hopefully will replace sparklers!
jumbo popcicle stick:
painted blue…..
took some ribbon (it has the pattern on both sides)
hot glue it to the top of the stick
cut about two yards of ribbon (it varies depending on the size of the kid)
(too long it will start to get tangled up)
I always take a match and burn the edges slightly to prevent fraying
and it rolls up small!
takes just minutes…honestly…the most time consuming part is waiting for the hot glue gun to warm up!
You can also use those crepe streamers…get more bang for your buck!!!

Now, I like this SAFE idea! I always get paranoid with the kids, dog & fireworks – even just sparklers. Grandson will have loads of fun with this.
Would love for you to link it up Thursday to Fab Finds for the 4th so others can make it too!
