Kids + paint = lots of fun. I always loved that my mom let me paint as a kid! Something about how it splatters! So today I thought I would show you some fun projects that kids can do with paint!
I know paint projects can be scary–
I would say for especially for young kids..but my 12 year old was painting something and ended up getting paint EVERYWHERE! You can always opt for washable paint!
First up is the The Jackson pollack! (aka…splatter painting with straws)
Two ways: We added some paint to a plate…dipped our straws in water and then the paint and then took them over a paper and blew through the clean end of the straw.
Dipping in water makes it splatter a little more easily. If they don’t splatter–you can can mix water with the paint to make them runny.
You can also add dobs of paint to your paper and blow the air on the paint to make it move around the paper
This is the after effect:
You can use this technique to make MONSTERS
Another fun way is squish art:
We folded papers in half and then opened. Add paint (not too much or it will ooze out). Fold back in half and squish. When you open it up you have your own unique creations!
We thought this one looked like a butterfly! So you could totally transform the paintings into objects!
Now here is more amazing paint projects! Kids will LOVE these!
Paint with your feet. (Who wouldn’t love this!)
My son would have so much fun with these paint bombs
