What Is a Birthday Money Pull Gift?
A money pull gift is a creative way to present cash by taping dollar bills together into one long strip that pulls out continuously from a box, bag, or container.
For this birthday version, you wrap a tissue box with a colorful Happy Birthday printable, fill the box with taped-together bills, and let the recipient pull the money out for a fun surprise!
It’s like a magic trick mixed with a birthday gift.

How to make this Money Birthday gift with free printables
I have 3 different Happy Birthday printable sets plus lots of Birthday Clipart.

Step 1: Print and cut out
Once you pick what version you want, You need to print the pattern twice. Plus the top and bottom.
If you need a great printer- I love my HP! I wrote up a whole printer post about why I love it and how to get the best quality prints!
Cut these all out. Make sure to cut out the circle/oval for the top piece.

Step 2: Assemble
Hot glue the pieces together to make one big strip. Bend at each square. (You can tape together! I just prefer hot glue!)

Step 3: Attach to box
Wrap the printable around the Kleenex™ box and hot glue in place.

Glue on the top and bottom
I left the plastic on the Kleenex™ box to help hold up the arrow.

Here are the three cute printables all wrapped around the box.

Realistically, these are so darn cute, you could add a rock or something heavy in the box and use it to hold Balloons or flowers as a table decoration!
But let me show you how to add in the money for the gift portion!
How to make the money for the birthday gift
We did $25 in one-dollar bills and it was super long! Just tape each dollar end to end. Tape the arrow printable to the end. I like using the magic tape from scotch. It comes off the dollar bills really easy.

If you want it really long you can cut up colored paper in the same size as the money and add it in between each dollar bill. Tape the arrow to the end.
Loosely roll them into a bundle. If it’s too tight it won’t pull easily. Smoosh it into an oval and slip it inside the box.

The dollar bills will keep the arrow up out of the box so it’s easy to see.

Surprise the Birthday Recipient
When they pull the first dollar bill, the entire money chain keeps coming out of the box!
This makes such a fun and memorable birthday surprise for kids, teens, and adults alike.

You can take the birthday clipart and embellish the tops as much as you want! I just hot glued these to toothpicks and poked them down into the box.

Perfect for All Ages
Then you just give a little tug and boom….money train! It’s the cutest money gift ever! It’s seriously so satisfying. You can also fill the box with candy or prizes!
This birthday money pull gift box works for:
