(I was sent these halloween costumes to review. all opinions are my own)
You know. A few years ago…I LOVED making my kids halloween costumes. I loved shopping for the fabric and spending all day trying to give my kids exactly what they wanted.
But as life has gone on…and my kids have gotten bigger…and pickier…and i’ve gotten busier….I have to say…I LOVE just going and buying some costumes! It takes off so much stress!!! And my FAVORITE place to buy them…is at Halloween Costumes.com
They have pretty much any thing you can think of! Loads of fun sizes…and accessories…and even DECORATIONS!!!
I ADORE their group costumes!!!
(here’s our 2013 picks:
first up: my son picked THOR!!! (thor with a haircut)
you can actually get a thor hammer at halloween costumes. com…but we already had one I made for my son using THIS tutorial
The costume is awesome! my son LOVES superheros (and thor is the hottest avenger imho) When we took pictures it was a little chilly…and my son was totally warm in this (which is good cause we live in Idaho and October in Idaho is buttchilling cold.) So I know this padded muscle suit will keep him toasty as he scrounges house to house for candy!
I also love that the cape is removable
(everytime I see a cape I think of the Incredibles…NO CAPE.)
next up….my beautiful daughter….
This makeup is so easy…under 5 minutes and uses $4 worth of dollar store makeup!
(really light foundation, red lipstick, dark brown or black eyeliner, and this color pallet…
(if you think of bruises..they turn purpley and gold and dark brown…those are the colors you want to use)
I walk you through it here:Â
and then rat your hair and add some cobwebs!
and last but not least…..FROZENOkay…this one was hands down the daughters favorite. Let it go has been played repeatably and daily in this house (whoever taught her the repeat button on her cd player is dead to me)
She was so excited. I’m pretty sure she would sleep in this if I would let her! It has a fun slit (“just like the movie mom!”) pretty sparkles on the sleeves and an elsa brooch on the front.
I added a side braid—her hair is shorter than elsa’s…and if I had just done a braid on the side all the pieces would have fallen out…I then added some fun snowflakes clips…
and guess what? they are made with hot glue!!! tutorial for those tomorrow!!!
and of course we had to sprinkle glitter all over her!
They also have this amazing anna dress..I so wish my daughters were closer together in age so they could go as  the pair!
so make sure to check out halloween costumes.com
they have so many fun costumes…tween, teen, kids, babies, adults, groups, old classics…new fads! (and accessorizes and decor!!!
one stop halloween shop!)
