A fun free printable back to school gift idea! Print these out and add to a can of Root beer to hand out to your kids!

I work with the girls at my church. And I really wanted to give them something to kick off this school year. I sat on it for a while and finally I came up “rooting for you” for Root Beer. And as I sat down to design it, I decided to turn the AW into awesome! I love when my original plan turns out better than I envisioned (It doesn’t happen nearly enough!)

After I finally had it perfect, I just print out and cut around, and taped some directly to the can of pop (Pop or soda? I know everyone calls it something different!) I just left these cute little treat on the girl’s doorstep the night before school started!

These would also be super cute to give to teachers! You could even pair it with a gift card for a great present!

My Favorite scissors
glue dots

Hole punch
Bakers Twine (great for tying on the printables!)
Can of A&W root beer

Printing them out

If you are looking for a great printer to use – I love my HP! I wrote up a whole post why The reasons I love the printer. This post also shows how you can make sure you are getting the best prints by adjusting your settings!

IF YOU DON’T HAVE A PRINTER: You can also upload the files to staples or office max and have them print them! Sometimes the local library has a printer for public use!

Cutting out the printables:

I love Fiskars! Nice sharp scissors or paper cutters will get you the best-looking edges! You can also upload the image into your Silhouette or Cricut software and have your electronic cutter cut it out for you! I have a post if need help with the Print and Cut feature!

Attaching the printable:

If you want to attach the printable directly on, I personally love glue dots! They are round and clear and removable so you should be able to get the printable off easily. You can also punch a hole in the corner and run some ribbon or baker’s twine through it!
