Check out this Valentine’s Gift Idea- and easy Lollipop made from paper plates and cellophane! Perfect present!

If you need a super easy gift this February- Look no further! This present is not only unique but you can customize it for the person and fill it with their favorite treats! It looks like a giant sucker or lollipop which just adds to fun!
You can, of course, adapt this for any holiday or birthday! Just change up the plates!
Supplies to make a Valentine’s lollipop gift
- Paper plates (Valentines themed)
- dowel
- cellophane (Dollar Tree has some!)
- ribbon
- Treats
- ribbon
- vinyl or stickers (optional)
I found the cutest plates at My mind’s eye! But any red or pink plates would work!

How to put together a Valentine’s Gift Idea
This giant lollipop gift comes together so easily!
Step1: I started by flipping the paper plate over and hot glue the dowel to the back of the plate. I also added a piece of tape to really hold it together.
TIP: If your plate fills flimsy, hot glue a few plates together so it will hold up!

Step 2: Lay out a piece of cellophane. It needs to be double the size of the plate since you are going to wrap the plate.
Step 3: Lay the plate face up on the cellophane. It’s not quite in the middle but more towards the bottom. If you have too much cellophane, you can trim it off with scissors.
Step 4: Fill with treats. They will slide once you pick the plate up, so if you want to keep everything exactly where you placed it, you can add a little bit of tape to keep them in place.

I originally filled with candy treats, but I wanted to see if the plate would hold up with actual items so I made another one! It held up pretty well but I didn’t add anything too heavy. I included a pair of socks, chapstick, hair ties, face mask, gift cards, and jewelry.

Step 5: Pull the cellophane around the plate gathering it at the bottom around the dowel. You can wrap a rubberband around the base and tie it with a pretty ribbon!

Your lollipop gift is done technically- but I did think it needed a fun conversation heart saying! I cut one out with adhesive vinyl but if you had letter stickers you could add them easily!

Here is the version with actual gift items! I have two nieces with birthdays in February so I made them each one of these.
