How to make DIY Candy poppers
The how-to is super easy- you can whip out a whole bunch very quickly!
step 1:
Cut paper towels into smaller rolls. Depending on what treats you have, you can make these short or longer. Mine are about 3 inches.

Step 2.
Take a piece of tissue paper and cut a square that is about 10 inches side and long enough to wrap around the paper towel roll.
Put the paper towel roll in the middle and using tape, secure one side and roll the tissue paper around and secure the other side so you have a big long tube.

Step 3:
Take ribbon or string and tie off one end of the tissue paper. You want to pinch the tissue paper right up to the tube. Don’t pull too tight when adding your ribbon because you don’t want to rip the tissue paper.
Step 4:
Take your candy, present, treat etc and drop it down inside! The tube is big enough that you can fit more than one candy inside if you want!

Step 5.
Tie off the other end of the tube with ribbon or string.
Step 6
This part is optional- but I did think it adds so much! Cut down a rectangle of cute scrapbook paper and wrap the paper towel roll with it. Secure with a piece of tape on the back.

ADAPTATION: You can just take a box of conversation hearts and wrap tissue paper directly around it. It’s a bit more square but still very cute!

Step 7
We wanted to make these as a countdown for Valentine’s day, so we made 14 and I added a cute printable that I printed onto sticker paper! I just cut out and taped it right one!

We just gathered them all up in a cute box. It makes the cutest gift!

How to open the candy poppers
You just rip off one end of the tissue paper and the candy just falls out! It’s like a mini pinata!
