- tape or glue
- ribbon or twine
- template (free down below!)
All of these things I have on hand except the paint chips! Since Paint chips are free- this project was essentially free for me!

Just an FYI- I always ask when taking paint chips for art projects! The companies are always great and let me take a nice variety! But I just think it’s common courtesy to ask!
How to make a carrot out of paint chips
As well as being inexpensive, these are pretty easy to make!
Step 1: Cut Your Paint Chips
Start by cutting your paint chip into a long triangle or carrot shape. You can use the gradient on the paint chip to give your carrot a fun, dimensional look. (I do have a template you can trace if you don’t want to free hand! It’s down below!)

Step 3: Create the Carrot Top
Cut out the top from green paint chips. You can also cut thin strips of green paper to resemble carrot stems. Curl them slightly using your fingers or scissors for added texture.
You can also do a little triangle for a stem! So many options!
Step 4: Attach the Greenery
Insert the green paper strips onto the top of the carrot and glue, tape or staple them in place.
Step 5: Add Finishing Touches
Punch a hole near the top and add twine if you want to turn it into a gift tag. I added tape and Twine to the back to turn it into a garland for my mantel.

Hang and enjoy your easy, free Easter Decoration!
We also made these with solid paint chips we had left over! They turned out just as cute!
