Buffalo Check Christmas Sign

Last year I wanted to make a buffalo check Christmas sign (because I’m obsessed!) I originally planned on painting it…but I came up with an easy hack instead! (Plus I included a free cut file for this joy to the world sign!)

How to make a buffalo check Christmas sign

The hack is…SCRAPBOOK PAPER! I grabbed it from hobby lobby! SOOO much easier than painting! I made a wood frame to fit it perfectly!

Add Vinyl

I cut out my joy to the world using Expressions vinyl and my Silhouette cameo (you can go HERE to read more about it!)

Add transfer tape!

And apply it to your scrapbook paper. You will want to be careful because some transfer tapes are really sticky and might peel up the scrapbook paper! Stick with Expressions Vinyl transfer tape!

Then I just added hot glue in the corners to hold it in place (realistically you can totally just add some sticky tabs and swap out the frame for each season! Just make fun scrapbook paper signs for each one!

As promised…here is the free cut file for joy to the world!

I also have a fun Joy sign here! (It’s one of my favorites!)
