You guys! Last year we did a whole big series on the blog– Luke’s Loves blanket drive for Project Linus.
Luke’s Loves started as a way to remember their sweet baby boy when he passed away—
And Last year they collected almost 300 blankets….273 to be EXACT. And I apparently am a crazy competitive person….because I want to beat that this year! Will you PLEASE help me!? We are collecting handmade blankets to give to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need.
Here’s how to help!
Make a blanket! They accept NEW, HANDMADE, WASHABLE, blankets and afghans for giving to children ages 0-18 years. Many sizes are appropriate depending on chapter need. For example, blankets could be as small as 36″ × 36.” The majority of Project Linus blankets are about 40″ × 60″, or what is called “crib size.” Blankets could be as large as twin size for teens. (You can head HERE and click on FAQs.)
YOU can actually donate locally (we are just trying to keep a headcount of how many are donated in Luke’s name! So if you donate a blanket locally please just email or comment here and let me know! Or even snap us a photo! We would love to see it! kimbowest21@gmail.com)
You can either go HERE and find out where you can donate Locally (just click on your state)–Or you can mail it directly to me (leave me a comment and I will let you know my address!)
