This is a super easy pillow to make! The secret to the awesomenss is glittery vinyl from Expressions Vinyl (and I have a giveaway at the bottom so you can win some for yourself!)When cutting heat transfer you cut on the back side–So if you have an image with words or needs to go a certain direction you will need to flip it horizontally (mirror image) Luckily the lips look good either way!
After you cut you pull off the vinyl that aren’t part of the design.
Before you put on your fabric–IRON! It gets out moisture and wrinkles! Wrinkles can ruin a good project!Â
I laid my lips with about a 3 inch edge of white so I could cut around and have room to sew my pillow!
(I wanted to mention: After pulling off the excess vinyl it will leave a couple glittery dots to the plastic sheet. These will NOT iron on to your project! They will stay on the carrier sheet! )
Then iron! PRESS in each spot for 15 seconds and then move to another spot (My iron has 1-6 settings–6 being the hottest. I put my iron on 3!) I always start low then if it’s not getting a good stick you can raise the temp! The plastic sheet is safe to iron directly on –that’s its purpose! If the iron is too hot it will pucker the carrier sheet!
Then peel off the plastic sheet. The glitter heat transfer vinyl is a hot or cold peel…which means you can reveal your design as soon as you want!
I had this fun xoxo paper punch from Fiskars--and thought a little xo would be fun on the lips! (You can’t layer glitter vinyl–wish I would have though ahead and punched out an xoxo in the pink and then add in the silver (like a puzzle piece.)
Iron it on the same and peel up the carrier sheet.
Now that the vinyl is done…let’s turn these giant lips into a  giant pillow! I took my fiskars scissors and cut around the lips leaving a 3 inch boarder. I cut out a front and back.
put right sides together and pin around.
Make sure to leave an opening to stuff it with batting! (I love Fairfield World Poly fil!)
Turn it right side out…stuff and whipstitch it close! Such a cute throw pillow–perfect for the one you love this Valentines day!
Now it’s your turn to score some awesome vinyl to Expressions Vinyl to make whatever you heart fancies! Â a Rafflecopter giveaway

I just used the vinyl lips as a pattern. You could probably google an image and print it out big and trace around!
