I actually bought this cute shirt from Old navy…because I thought…perfect for VINYL! So I racked my brain trying to decide what to put on it! Since school was starting…and my daughter is obsessed with Unicorns (aren’t we all) This is what came to pass.
I always use Expressions Vinyl and my silhouette cameo to create fun bags and signs!
This specific shirt is Neon Pink Glitter Heat transfer and Holographic Heat transfer (it’s so cool…but hard to capture in pictures! Almost looks rainbow!)
I wanted to cut unicorn out in color and everything else in holographic. BUT since I’m thrifty I hate wasting lots of vinyl…and if I would left the spacing in between the my and the my homework…it would have wasted some space. So I ungrouped them and moved them closer together. (if you are layering…You might want to leave it and just have wasted vinyl! It’s a little tricky when the vinyl needs to match up perfect!) Cut out and weed…
Here is my holographic sheet…
I cut each apart.
Now…the unicorn horn holographic had to line up perfect with the unicorn in glitter….so I placed it where I wanted…removed the glitter and ironed on the glitter horn. Took of the clear carrier sheet and add the unicorn in glitter. Once that was tacked down I took off the carrier sheet of the Unicorn and added the words on top and bottom. Then ironed it all pressing the whole time.
The holographic is cold peel (which means it has to be cool before pulling off the carrier sheet!)
Remember…you can totally do this with an iron! No heat press needed!
