I scored one of Expressions Vinyl Mystery boxes- and it did not disappoint! Filled with super cute coordinating heat transfer vinyl and adhesive vinyl. I wanted to put it to good use and create some fun projects (instead of just filling my vinyl hoarding drawer up!) Today I have two thanksgiving signs (with free cut files)
and tomorrow I will have two Christmas cut files~ So stay tuned!
Thanksgiving wood sign supplies:
- Blank Wood sign (I got mine at walmart
- Adhesive vinyl (All my supplies come from the Expressions Mystery vinyl box)
- weeding tool
- transfer tape
- Application tool
- ribbon and embellishments (optional)
- cut file (you can grab it down at the bottom)
- cutting machine (I use the silhouette cameo!)
I have seen a few how to paint buffalo check signs. AND they are so cute! But I can’t help thinking how long it takes to create all those layers! I loved this awesome buffalo check vinyl–I just trimmed some 2 inch pieces to edge out my wood sign (you can see that I painted the inside white!)
I just peeled and stuck and then trimmed the excess.
I cut out saying- Isn’t this glitter adhesive so pretty!
The Siser weeding tool is perfect to weed away all those little inside pieces!
Apply the transfer tape to take it from backing to your project in one easy step!
Rubbed it really well with app tool. and then pulled the transfer tape down at an angle so it releases easily!
The design was more square and the empty space was more rectangular- So I moved it down to the bottom and added some ribbon embellishments to fill in the space!
My second project I used oramask (It’s stencil viny!) It’s also in the vinyl box!
This is actually made to go on the back of THIS cut file sign!
Okay-Sad to say- the Expressions Vinyl Mystery Box is SOLD OUT! But head over and sign up for their emails so you can stay in the loop for when their next one launches! You are going to want it! And if you want to see more projects made with the mystery box–go here!
and here are the cut files! Enjoy!
Check out all my free cut files!
