if you have read my blog before…you will know that i’m a hoarder….
and fabric scraps are no exception….
so much in fact that i had to devote a whole week of fun tutorials to use up your fabric remains!!!!
today we start with a fun scrappy quilt!
Back many moons ago when I was packing up my house I ran across a shoe box of little scrap fabric. too small to really do anything with…and i started sorting them by color…and slowly and surely the rainbow quilt was sewn….

I laid out all the colors together and sewed all the colors together….then sewed the strips of colors together.
I cleaned up the edges
I couldn’t find the exact kind of print for the back of it…so i created my own ..I got white fabric and made a triangle stamp and used fabric paint to create my print…
and while i was waiting for the purple to dry my daughter walked across it…so there are little purple smudges across it. #lifeofamom then just added some polka dot binding!
it’s super fun…no real rhyme or reason. you can see i didn’t try to match up the squares..which makes it really easy!

I just got a massive box of fabric scraps from my neighbour (I know now hoarding other peoples crap) this is a great way to use them up, looking forward to this week.

what a brilliant way to use those old scraps! I’ve made a t-shirt quilt before but this would be a new challenge for me but I’m up for it! Thanks for sharing!
