I was at my dad’s house last week…and stumbled into a giant wood pile (this in only ONE of a bunch) It’s literally a crafter’s dream. (and he’s planning on burning it! ah!) How dare he burn old wood!
I ended up loading up my back with a few pieces to turn them into some fun log pumpkins!
I just used spray paint (one and half cans to make sure it was totally covered. i spray painted that sucker into a haze of orange!) He had these old round posts too…so I sawed off pieces for the tops!
I had these little leaves leftover from a project so I just added them to the top with a little wire and bakers twine
I made this sign using washi tape…and it’s double sided…cause I didn’t know what i wanted….and when in doubt….make both.
I love how they look on my porch!!! I also love that they can be carried from halloween to thanksgiving–
you can also use them to hold pumpkins or plants–of if you aren’t going to be home on halloween night and are the trusting type that leaves the bowl of candy on the porch…these would be perfect for that!
