I’m always on the hunt for fun activites that we can do at my kids classroom parties…or church parties…or to keep the kids entertained on saturday! And what’s more fun than creating your own fun Halloween creatures with playdoh!Start by making your own playdoh….this recipe is AMAZING! so pliable and soft! The more you play with it…the more smoother it gets and most things are in your pantry!
1 cup water
1 TBS salad oil
Food coloring
1 cup flour
3 tbs salt
1 1/2 tsp Alum
Bring to boil: Water, oil and coloring.
Remove from heat and add the flours, salt, and alum. (this makes about a softball size of playdoh!)
Mix and knead. Keep in an airtight container. I was trying to make halloween colors…and my red spilled…so my orange is a little tooo red. FYI…for brighter colors add more food coloring than you think! Then I found this fun tray –and i thought it would be perfect to hold all sorts of fun things to play with–eyeballs, spiders, pipe cleaners, buttons, vampire teeth..whatever fun thing you want. Place in center of a table and let the kids imaginations run wild!Â
My kids played for hours! They kept telling me to run over and take a picture of their creations!
They pushed insects into it to make fun designs…
Some of them turned out so funny!
