In our church, kids get baptized at age 8–This towel is a fun gift to give! (and CTR stands for CHOOSE THE RIGHT)
My niece got baptized! I’m super into handmade gifts these days…you don’t have to worry about her getting it from someone else (my nephew got like 4 tie tacks at his baptism)
my joanns fabric and my towel from walmart
the symbol to copy…
means Choose the Right. (it’s from my church) I sketched it out on a paper for a pattern…but you could print it out and cut it out
Pin it on and sew around!
oh wait…that’s it.
nice and easy.
Now listen.. silhouette has this interfacing if you want to go that route!
then I made a matching headband
cause aren’t the towel and headband supposed to match..? mine do
Pair this towel with a sweet quote (just right click and save to your computer and print from there!)

thanks for asking!
That is so cute Kim! I did one similar for Megan's baptism. I love the fabric you chose!
Do you have a tutorial for how you made the headband? SO cute!
Very cute choice of fabric- and, of course, the headband needs to match the towel!
Our ward does towels with the CTR shield embroidered on them for baptisms. Yours is cuter 🙂

I love that.
Very nice!! I need to make something similar for my son to take on his mission — maybe make it say RTH!!

DUDE! I am so happy I found this! My daughter is turning 8 in a few weeks, and she and my niece are getting baptized on the same day…I am DEFINITELY making these for their special day! You ROCK! (Yet again!)

What a cute idea! I love it.
Oh my goodness, so cute!!
Love this idea! While I was in the Primary Presidency in my ward, I took charge of making these towels for the children getting baptized. We would go visit the child a week prior to baptism and give them the towel so they could have it on the actual day. So meaningful. I got the idea and tutorial from this blog:
And it has an adorable and sweet poem tying the towel and baptism together. I love your towel and just wanted to share the poem with you if you hadn't already seen it…I just think it makes the towel even more important to the day/child!
Such a sweet gift and tradition!! I love how simple yet cute it is!!!
