How do you lose an earring? That has a back? Repeatably? I don’t know how she does it…magic I guess….but Jordan just has a knack for losing just one earring. I take the poor lonely earring and put it in her top drawer….knowing full well that the day I throw it out…the other one will Magically appear.
I was “spring cleaning” not quite spring but if I call it that then I don’t have to do it again in the spring, and came across a whole collection of cute but lonely earrings. Way too cute to just toss in the garbage.
I had just watched an episode of Max and Ruby…the one where Ruby gets a charm bracelet? (have you seen it? It’s a good one!) And I thought, how cute. I bet all these earrings would look so cute on a charm bracelet.
tooks some elastic and some beads
A few beads later…..taaaadddaaaaa.
done.
Now, watch her lose the whole bracelet and all the matches pop up!

What an amazing idea! My daughter would love this… Can I share an earring story with you? My daughter got up from bed one night and came downstairs and said, my earring just came out. I asked her where the back was and she said she didn't know. I felt behind her ear and it wasn't there, so we figured it fell into her bed. No biggie, sent her back to bed. We never ended up replacing the earring. A few days later she was complaining that her ear was bothering her, so I take a look and there is a large bump on the back of her lobe! I thought it was an infection, until I squeezed it and it was HARD… and then I saw it, a tiny, tiny bit of silver… her ear had swelled over the BACK of the earring! We couldn't get it out so we had to go to the ER where they had to numb her ear and cut it out! Apparently hair had wrapped around the back causing an infection and swelling, which covered the back of the earring and caused the actual earring to pop out! Needless to say she had to let her ears heal and then get them re-pierced and we have checked to make sure no hair was wrapped around the earring EVERY NIGHT since! Whew.
Anyway- thanks for linking up with Sugar & Spice.

I love the charm bracelet idea. Those were very cute earrings! They make great charms, though.
