Pot week continues with a bubble gum dispenser!
Things you need:
One Pot
One pot dish (I know that isn’t the technical term but I am blanking for the moment. The dish the pot sits in and catches the excess water)
A wooden wheel: like 79 cents at the crafts store
A knob: (I know I got this for cheap at home depot..like 30 cents or something:
Now take those 4 things and spray them RED!
Now, you are going to need a round fish bowl. I got this one at the thrift store for $1.00 (not including tax) and I was at Petco (I take my kids there occasionally to look at the animals…its about the closet thing I want to get to having a pet) and I saw some for about $7.00 so I think I might have gotten a pretty good bargain!
Now after the paint is dry…you’ll need to paint on the details:
Just a gray rectangle
(make sure the pot is upside down!!!)
NOw hot glue the bowl to the upside down pot:
Then hot glue the knob and the wheel together:
Then hot glue that to the dish (upside down)
This is the lid it should fit right on the top of the bowl
Fill with bubble gum (or you could use it as a cookie jar)
Thats about 4 bucks worth of gum balls!

This is so cute! I thought it was a *real* gumball machine! (I can't resist a gumball machine — this would be very, very bad to have in my house.)

That is absolutely adorable. I don't know where I could put one in my house where it wasn't being constantly raided, but I will think about it.
Great JOB!!!!

I have made several of these as gifts. I could not use hot glue… it came right off. I suggest using epoxy glue so it will stay put. You also can go to the craft store and just purchase a glass bowl from the candle department, they are much cheaper than having to buy a fish bowl. I think mine were 2.00.
Aren't they just a blast to make and give away??!! People love recieving them!!!

What a cool idea! I just think I'd spend a small fortune keeping it restocked with bubble gum. Although, if I just glued the top right on…

Feeling young again with a bubble gum and a bubble gum machine! Remember when you were a child, you would look for a bubble machine and drop some coins on it to get some gums. I was so happy doing it and chewing gum. But some kids used to forget to brush their teeth after eating candies. Hehehe… Tooth decay is really a worse enemy of kids since then.
