This month’s Floracraft® challange is FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam Balls
with the theme CELEBRATION!!! (so many different shapes and sizes!!)
I knew instantly that I wanted to do a garland of some sort..but a realllllly colorful one! cause I love color.
You just need some tissue paper and glue!I poured out the glue so I could dip my paint brush in it…then painted on a coat on the balls.
cut a square of tissue paper and placed glue ball in it and wrapped! Since the tissue paper is thin it will really stick well…but you can add little glue here and there as needed!
I took a big yarn needle…threaded it with bakers twine and popped it through the ball to make a cute garland!
Okay…I wanted to hang this garland on a cake…
so I made one…
and it ended up turning into this…
It was NOT pretty. I mean…i still ate it. But not photo ready!
So instead took some FloraCraft® Make It: Fun® Foam wreaths in two different sizes and wrapped them in poster board and ribbon to make a fun cake stand! (they actually have cake stand ones HERE) but I just worked with what I have!!!
Added a few random elements by cutting out Make It: Fun Foam® Foam Sheets with the heated Florcraft® StyroCutter® Plus (melts thorugh it like BUTTER! You can see it in action HERE on my giant flamingo!
It’s three pieces…glued together and painted!
I also did a number 7…that I wrapped in WASHI tape!
They are so fun…and you can totally customize to your party decor!

Everything is adorable! Sorry about the layer cake. I love baking, but tall layer cakes still kick my butt. I can’t manage to cut the layers straight, so my cakes never look pretty after I cut them. But I’m with you, I’ll still eat them!
