These cool craft-making Pressed Flowers Bookmarks are the perfect way to save all those hand-picked flowers or bouquets from your loved one!
We went for a walk a month ago and my daughter picked every flower she saw. We ended up with a nice variety and we put them in a phone book to press them flat and dry them.
After they were dry I thought, what are you supposed to do with a pile of pressed flowers?
So we decided to make some pressed flower bookmarks!
How to make Pressed flower bookmarks
There are two ways to make them! The first way to is pretty inexpensive!
I took strips of packaging tape and laid it out on a flat service with a sticky side up!
I just added flowers on top of the packing tape until I liked it! Then add a top piece on it to seal the flowers! You can add another layer of tape over it to make it a little more sturdy and thicker. Then punch a hole and add a piece of ribbon or twine!
It’s such a pretty *almost free* bookmark.
I made a few different bookmarks
You can also buy bookmark pouches if you have a laminator! I Love my scotch laminator!
You can also buy pressed flowers from Amazon if don’t have the patience to wait for your own flowers to dry!
Just place how you want in the laminated pouches and then run through the laminator!
Other things to make with pressed flowers
I still had a lot of pressed flowers so I did a couple of other things with them!
I framed the roses my husband gave me so I could keep them forever.
I had two pieces of glass
and smooshed some between them
Thought they would be pretty as a coaster or centerpiece
(I would actually use plexiglass if I was going to do this again.)
I also created some notecards. I just couldn’t let all those smooshed weeds go to waste!
once again I just used packaging tape to keep the flowers from getting destroyed
I also created a suncatcher and just cut out the shape of a heart!
You can also add the pressed flowers into resin for some fun decorations!
