My daughter writes these notes for us ALL THE TIME. It’s the first sentence she ever learned to write! And now we find them all over!
and I thought I would immortalize it forever!
Let’s start with the fluff before I get down to the vinyl how to! Found these super cute wood flowers at Michaels!
I had an extra wood frame laying around…
You can go HERE to see the whole tutorial on how to make these fun wood frames!Painted the flowers all colorful! While they dried I worked on the vinyl!
I love using decor art paint!
So I had my daughter write out a note on a white piece of paper with a black marker (the contrast is good!) I went over it to thicken the lines up!
Then took a picture of it and uploaded it into my silhouette studio. Click the trace and drag it over the words.
When you click high pass filter it will make it all yellow!
Then hit trace. You will see the red outline. That is where your silhouette will cut!
I cut it out of black vinyl (but since you are only using it as a stencil, you can use any color! Peel away all the extra vinyl. Lay over transfer tape and then apply it to your project.
Then let your kid paint it. You could actually let them use lots of colors and decorate it. Since we were putting on the flowers we kept it simple. (she painted the flowers too and then I added a couple fun colors to them)
Then peel up the vinyl.
I hot glued the flowers on and added a sawtooth hanger
So sweet! You can twist it and do your grandmother’s or mom’s handwriting instead! Such a sweet gift!
And this little signature has my whole heart!
Here is a nice big image for you to pin!
