I lay it out on the fabric and move it and trace the bottom and top. I cut larger than needed and trim down. You can use a scrap piece as well to get a good pattern!

each lamp shade is different…cause of the size and shape. the more drum shape it is means you won’t have to have such a curve. I would do a yard if you don’t mind extra. you could trace it out on paper first and measure that way if you don’t want lots of leftovers!
