Make it fun crafts® has a whole booklet for fun ideas that you can do for Halloween! (go HERE to get the free download!) And this month we get to pick something out of it…and make it our own!It comes with instructions on how to do it! Easy peasy! I loved these cute hanging bat ghosts…
and I actually  made some on a cute tassel garland for my mantle…
Just Make it fun® foam ballsadd a sticky thumb dot to the top and add a square of fabric.
sharpie on a little face…
The Tassels are super easy–
Take a piece of cardboard and wrap with yarn. Take a piece of yarn and slide it underneath one side and tie it into a knot up top. Cut the very bottom of the opposite side. Then you can take another piece of yarn and wrap it around near the top to give it the tasselly look.
Then I thought a big HUGE ghost for my front porch would be fun! So I had to make one.
I used Styrofoam® Make it fun balls
and eggs
a yard of muslin or cheesecloth
wire
hanger
I used wire and poked it into the bottom of the big ball and connected the eggs. (so it looks like a head with arms)Â
I used one of these eyelets that are made specifically for foam..just screw it in the top.
Then throw over the white fabric. You could dip the edges in brown rit dye or splatter it with blood…Whatever kind of ghost you are going for. My house has three houses getting built across the street…so by the time this ghost has been hanging all October it will be all dirty and gross from all the flying dirt…! I ran some thread through a needle and run it through the eyelet to hang (use fishing line if you want it invisible!)
I cut out some black ovals and stuck them on for eyes!
It kind of eeerily weird…When it’s hanging the wind moves it around…and when I was taking pictures I kept calling to it because it was facing the wrong way–like I do when it’s my kids…”Hey, look here.” I’m glad no one was around when taking pictures!!
