In reply to Julie W.. Julie, I got out child's art set paints and used black on my brush to dab into ridges, then wiped off excess. Helped some, but stained my lovely metal colored clays (Sculpty). Would love to know if your glaze worked!

I tried to make these earlier this year (with Sculpty), but you could not see the print. I emailed Sculpty and was told to spritz finger with water, but still couldn’t see it. Tried to rub black paint over and wipe off to help with definition and that helped a little, but my beautiful metal colored clays I had bought darkened. Still a work in progress I guess.
Would appreciate any hints anyone might have.

i’m not sure…i haven’t worked with salt dough. if it dries hard than i wouldn’t imagine why it wouldn’t work! good luck!

i would go as big as you can find–to make it fit through the thickness of the sculpey. you can buy any color of sculpey you want–pink would be fun…as well as copper. whatever suits you guys the most! good luck!!!
