Tired of spending more time choosing a movie than actually watching one? These movie night printables are the perfect solution! Simply print them out, place them in an envelope, and draw a movie at random for an instant, stress-free family movie night idea everyone will love.

This simple printable activity turns movie night into a fun tradition while eliminating indecision.

My husband and I literally spend 40 minutes just trying to figure out WHAT to watch. I know this is a common problem so we are turning movie night into a fun game! Grab the printables, pick your favorite movies and seal up a whole bunch in envelopes and then every time you are ready to watch a movie, pop some popcorn and pick an envelope!

These printables are:

• Easy to use and print

• Perfect for weekly movie nights or special occasions
• A fun way to involve kids in the decision and fun

Supplies you need:

• Envelopes: I found some really cheap ones at Walmart! Peel and stick too so I didn’t even have to lick them!
• Printables (down below- there are 3 different kinds, regular, Disney and Chick Flicks)
• Holder: I did find a little wood box at the dollar tree that fits the envelopes in it!
• Stickers to seal up the back (totally optional!)
• Printer (I wrote up a whole post about my favorite one)

How Movie Night Envelope Printables Work

Using these random movie picker printables is simple and fun:

1. Print the movie cards
   Each printable includes cards where you can write movie titles your family enjoys.
2. Fill in your favorite movies
   Add family-friendly films, holiday movies, or themed picks like Disney, classics, or comedies.
3. Place them in an envelope
   Fold the cards and put them inside an envelope labeled “Movie Night Picks.”
4. Draw one movie at random
   On movie night, shake the envelope and let someone draw a card to decide what to watch!

No arguing. No overthinking. Just press play.

Regular Movie Night

I put in lots of my favorite movies (mostly PG-13) The beauty of these is that you can pick whatever movie you want! You can throw away any of the movies on the printable that you hate or just write in your own in the printables!

Fold up, Seal up and you are done!

For the movie night printables- you will need to print the template however many movies you have! I put two on one sheet of paper so I only had to print 30 to get 60 movies! You could just slip the little movie into an envelope if you don’t want to waste paper!

Disney Movie Night

We love Disney- so we had to include a Disney themed one!

Same set up as above- cut out and seal up! I included almost every single animated Disney Movie- EXCEPT any ones what have more than one. So if you pick Frozen- you can either pull a movie marathon and watch both OR pick your favorite! (I personally don’t love Lion King 2, so I would totally skip that!)

There is also a sheets of dreamworks movies because they have some great classics too!

Both Disney and Dreamworks are all combined so pay attention when you are printing if you don’t want them all!

I have these in two sizes. One small and one large. So make sure to only select the ones you want to print.
