On one of my MMMAAANNNYYY trips to Hobby Lobby I picked up all the fun supplies for a new 4th of July door hanger! (and it’s SOOO EASY!)
Here is a quick little video…but the tutorial is down below!
This wood is in the woodpile aisle…and it came with the rope (which is chunky so I love it!)
and then you need ribbon~ All these little ones were 50% off…so only 50 cents each. But this project is great for scraps that you have…or you can rip up fabric and use that as well! I also liked the mix and match of different sizes as well as throwing in some pom poms and ric rac.
I hot glued them red-white-red-white and then went back in with extras to fill up the backside.
I cut out this FREE cut file america out of Expressions Vinyl with my silhouette cameo
Grab the cut file here!
Weed vinyl, add transfer tape and apply to wood! The wood is textured so it took a little time to get the vinyl off the transfer tape and onto the wood.
Then I took my fiskar punch and cut out a some stars for the sides!
It was so easy!
(p.s. I actually painted the back blue…because I couldn’t decide what I liked better!
But I ended up swinging towards the natural with blue vinyl. It popped more on my dark door!
