Book themed Baby shower !!!

My baby sister is having a baby! There are 5 of us (1 brother and 4 sisters) and we have all been done having kids for 7 years (seriously….we all had babies the same year)  So now that we are all out of baby stage..it’s perfect timing to bring new babies into the scene….

 

aka…this new baby will be the most spoiled baby EVER. EVER.

Anyways…last weekend we threw her a book themed baby shower!

Let’s start with invitations–We just found a golden book image and added our own words on picmonkey.com!
We had it at our church–and since it’s big we wanted to show everyone which room we were in–(cue the balloons!Pictures of mom and dad…Before we go any further–I need to mention that my sisters works at a library…So A. She borrowed all the fun book themed stuffed animals from there. and B. she had access to so many library books and found all the ones that were perfect. and C. she was able to score books that her library was getting rid of –And those are the ones we ripped up.

 

The balloons are made so easy with a balloon tank! (you can grab one at Walmart!)made some fun banners with book pages and twine…The gift table…

My sister whipped up this book page wreath in between decorating and waiting for the party to start! super fast! 

Around the room we had a bunch of tables…each table had an activity. The shower was an open house so we picked games that people could do and not feel obligated to stick around!This table had two…..

We used these cute printables as a game…

 

and then we had a “guess how much I love you” 

They had to guess the kisses and hugs in the jar–person who guesses the closest wins the jar!

 

Next table was leave a note on diaper for late night diaper changings! (by the way…..all the printables are at the end!)

Last part was the ABC book—Everyone got to draw a personalized page for the new baby!

(since our family is big…we added 0-9 to make more pages!)

Let’s TALK FOOD (our favorite part…!) The drink was pink lemonade! 

So much yummy food!

 

 

And then as a party favor–the grabbed a bag of book worms as they left!
