This dresser was featured on the cutting edge stencil blog and i THEN realized that i never posted it here!!!!
(the pictures don’t get bigger! one of those awesomesauce things that happened when i switched from blogger to wordpress)
this post started with a dresser makeover….the before…
but i reattached the knobs (i should mention that 4 days passed before i finally put them back on and 24 arguments about how my husband can’t get his socks) and taped off the edge…
and added my houndstooth stencil from cutting edge….
and used brown stencil paint from decorart (it’s glorisously thick and perfect for stencils!)
after it was dry –i taped off a little edge
and painted that in…
see…so nice..
finally i decided to do something about it!!!!
the other side of this wall is my husband’s tv..so i can’t keep that thing up top straight! everytime he turns on his surround sound it moves!!!!
and in the evening….

Looks great! Oh, try cutting up a Command(r) strip into small pieces to keep that little metal decor straight! I cut those things up all the time – they do not lose the ability to stretch and release just because they are cut. I’ve got them all over.

I LOVE it. It really is amazing, houndstooth is simply the best. Great makeover!
