back story: I used to work at a kid’s dentist’s office. my mother in law is the office manager..and my sister-in-law was the front desk–and she had a baby…and we kinda did this swap where she would work the mornings and I worked the afternoons. I loved it…it was super fun (not as much fun as blogging) but then I had my last baby and stopped cause…well…kids are a time suck.
anyways..it’s the cutest kids’ dentist office that you have ever seen! (if you are in Pocatello, Idaho make sure you schedule an appointment! called dentistry for kids!)
and recently the dentist decided to open up an office in Rexburg…and I get the awesome opportunity to decorate it.
which means A. I’m in completely over my head.
B. I’ll probably be a sucky blogger til I’m done
c. I’ll probably have a few bald spots when it’s all said and done.
what i’m trying to get around to is i want to show you their cute office–some of these pictures are old….and blurry…but i think you get the main jist!
the GIANT toothfairy (she lights up)
the girl’s bathroom…(the toothfairy’s dressing room)
the boy bathroom
where you pick your prize…the little heart door opens up..and it’s all lighted on the inside.
where you brush your teeth…
what we call the “sixth” chair. just a little room to have a quick exam… (and for the screaming kids..ie. my youngest born)
almost makes you want to go get your teeth clean doesn’t it!
so I showed you HERE this cute dentist office—
and now i’m going to show you a few odds and ends that i’ve done for them…(and i started writing this a long time ago and that’s why the pictures are so small!
like this pinocchio.
It needed a stem. and leaves.
took some wire hangers (yeah, couldn’t believe I had them either) Made a leaf shape
Dentist office number 2
(keep in mind –i didn’t do this all..i will point out the portions i did. I live about an hour and half away so i didn’t want to be away from my fam for too long..so i was mostly 3-D installation…all the work at home and then i would come and install it!!!!
okay…let’s begin.. (note: i forgot my camera….so this is all taken with my iphone!)
tooth fairy hollow is all done by me…wood, paint, sculpey, vinyl….
i didn’t do the coat hanger…but it fits pretty well in the corner…
the birds kind remind me of angry birds..but cuter….
now….the people who own the building didn’t want the wood ruined…so i made these tooth brushes to fit over the molding…
rope and sculpey and wood…and they were about to be the death of me….!
behind the check in desk is this cute chevron wall that i did not paint…
but i did do the open wide and the doc’s logo…
i started taking step by step pictures…and then didn’t finish! but i think this wall is my favorite!
this cute bird sits on the desk..i made the limit your tweets sign..
down the hall is the exam rooms…one has the stark white towers painting on it..
all the super heros from avengers are there…to help with the attack of plaque…
and in the other room is the football teeth….
there are a few inside jokes…school rivalry…that kind of thing…
the office has the brightest funnest colored chairs and cabinets!!!
when you walk back out from the rooms towards the front you see the waiting room
(didn’t do the chair…but i did the flowers)
and then when you turn you see the “under the sea”
i only made the fish and the anchor…another girl did all the painting!
then tucked away in the corner is this AMAZING submarine!
you can walk in…that is a mirror…lots of buttons and gadgets and things to do…
the best part is the “windows” of the submarine has ipads in them….they kids get to sit in and play with them!!! my kids LOVE THIS! (i did paint that seashell)
here’s the view from the front door..
i didn’t take a picture of that wall…it has the break glass in case of emergency sign that was in the last office!!!
and here’s some random little things around the office….
this is for the 3rd op room..which hasn’t been finished yet….
they also were working on this sink with a giant owl with a mirror in his belly….
i’ll have to go and get some more pictures when it’s 100% done!
cause BELIEVE me…these pictures DON’t do it justice! it’s soooo cute!

So, I’d totally go to the dentist more often if I could sit in an Avengers room. That freakin’ rocks!!

That’s awesome. I would love to take my kids to a cute office like that! Could you maybe do a video walk through? It might give us a better idea of how cool it is :o)
