I received some awesome Tulip Neon Fabric markers, paint and tie dye from iLovetoCreate for free . As with everything I promote–It is an item I truly love and am happy to work with!
neon…it’s so hot right now (zoolander)
i love it. (HELLO 80s! welcome back!) it’s so fun especially when in these last few months that are so….gray! It’s adds such fun pops of color!!!
and while i won’t be bringing back this trend that I TOTALLY Sported…
I decided to make a purse with nice neon pops!!!!
before i started painting…i ironed on freezer paper on the underneath for two reasons
A. stability
B. in case it leaks through!
then using the Tulip fabric neon markers and the dimensional fabric paint (i love this stuff!!!)
(i used the markers to make this heart background…which is going to be a scarf!)
i made up my own geometric pattern!
and then added it as a top to a burlap bottom (just a rectangle that i folded up!)
i got it done and had to take a quick survey on facebook to see how i should put the buttons!!!
and number 4 won hands down!!!
it’s so much fun and i totally love how it turned out!!!
I didn’t get to play around with the Tulip tie dye mini kit yet..but i’m going to go buy a bunch of white shirts and a white apron and me and the kids are going to have a tie dye party!!!

It’s super cute. I like the neutral paired with the neon – I think it takes it from the 80s to current day and makes neon relevant again!
LOVE the 80s pic roundup, too! Next time, you should really make muscle pants. 🙂
