And I don’t know if you have been down the fabric aisle of Joann Stores—but I just KEEP buying fun fabric to turn into masks! Floral, Friends, French Fries, flamingos! all my favorite F words!
And every time I post these masks, I get FLOODED with questions about my favorite mask pattern and tutorial! So I just thought I would share the one I found that I love the most!
My Favorite Mask pattern:
It’s from Sweet Red Poppy! I like it because A. It’s super easy. B. She’s got all the sizes so I can make everyone in my family one. and C. It’s so comfy! I’m a bit claustrophobic and masks that are too tight on my face gives me major panic attacks. So I love that I can make mine a little bit bigger so it’s not so snug on my face!
She also has a printable version here: https://sweetredpoppy.com/how-to-sew-a-surgical-face-mask/
and Realistically- she has quite a few different patterns if you are looking for different styles. I just find her instructions the most easiest to follow- Plus I love watching a video versus reading instructions!
I actually only add two pleats on the side instead of here three!
We like this kind of elastic too– it’s super soft for ears!
So there you go! Click over and grab her free pattern and start making your own masks!
