This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of FrogTapeĀ® for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.
I recently got to go through some houses at our town’s Parade of Homes–I saw the cutest laundry room…and even shared it on my InstagramMy laundry room was okay–but so dark!
There are no windows in there so I thought a little white paint would really brighten it up–and these triangles would just be icing on the cuteness cake!
Look how fun it turned out:
Okay! Let’s dive right in on how to create those triangles!
I loved the distressed look of them–so I knew that vinyl triangles would be out. My next thought was to create a stamp. But as you can see from the picture…it didn’t turn out pretty!
Lucky for me I had some FrogTapeĀ® brand painterās tape on hand and it turned out perfect!
I created a cardboard stencil of a triangle and traced around it all over the wall. There is no rhyme or reason top the placement. I actually made the triangles a bit smaller than I wanted so I could place the tape on the outside edge of the pencil markings. The paint would cover the pencil markings…and that means no erasing!
You can also see that some triangles overlapped. I just came back for round two and did those after the paint was dry!
After you get your entire wall taped off ensuring the tape is pressed down well–this is when your husband is going to walk in and wonder WHAT in the world you are doing! but carry on…because it turns out great! Time to add some paint! To get the distressed look I painted it a dark gray and then took a paper towel and rubbed off the middle.
Then peel off the tape while the paint is still wet!
My wall has crazy amount of texture–and FrogTapeĀ® PaintBlockĀ® reacts with the water in latex paint and instantly gels to form a barrier against paint bleed giving you the sharpest paint lines possible!
It took a little time (a few Netflix shows) but so worth it! I mean look how fun it is!
I added another shelf to store cleaning products
The ironing board and iron are on the wall to the left of the shelves.
And of course my laundry sign…I had to keep it real! Laundry sucks!
I made it using THIS tutorial!
Around the corner is a little nook for my laundry basket
This is the peek I get when walking by!
I never want to close my laundry room door now!
Okay…one more side by side of the before and after…
AH! I might even enjoy doing laundry just so I can be in this fun room! And there is no way I could have done it without FrogTapeĀ®. Make sure to check out more FrogTapeĀ® painting inspiration!

Love your laundry room and your wall! I have two stenciled walls in my house (in addition to a couple of striped walls) so I’m a big fan of pattern. Obviously! Visiting from Remodelaholic.
