I have two new plain shirts that I feel need *something*. Lace might be the answer!

I have a question though. For people (me) who don't have a sewing machine, are there any other products I can get to attach lace to a tshirt? I usually rely on iron-on hem tape but I know that'll show through the lace.

thanks for the lace zipper shout out! Speaking of lace, oddly enough I had just cut out an image from a magazine for inspiration on a gorgeous little lace dress - was thinking of tackling it this week or next. You may have just given me the right nudge :).
