really dumb.
and find myself in charge of not one class party…but two class parties.
kindergarten and 3rd grade.
(for the record they are different days.)
and can i take a moment and vent here: if you sign up on a sheet to help out IT WOULD BE A REALLY BIG HELP IF YOU ANSWERED YOUR PHONE OR CALLED BACK.just saying.
we are either going to have no treats…or 15 different kinds.
wait.
where was i?
dumb….party….3rd grade…people who suck…
oh GAMES!
what i am most excited about.
it’s my fav and I am super excited to plan the games….
PumPKin Bowling..
you know i was going there didn’t ya!
I will tell you what…this poor pumpkin bowling has had some mileage.
it has been used at 3 class parties at school…two preschool parties..two family party…a couple times at church..and borrowed out 4 times.
(you can go here to see the orginal post)
and it’s still a fav. but i added a little tinsy adjustment.
for my son’s kindergarten…well, let’s just say i didn’t want to be hit in the head by a pumpkin (you know it will happen) so instead of bowling…i made cute little bean (rice) bags to toss into them.
fill with candy or treats
and toss them in….
you have 3 chances and if you get one in– that is the treat you get….

Okay, this is completely unrelated to your post today, but I saw this post on another blog and thought of you. Even Target cupcake liners do the candy corn wrong. So maybe you are just a trendsetter! 🙂

I was in charge of my son's Kindergarten party and helping at my daughter's party on the same day. these idea would have been great.
and I know what you mean about people signing up and then not getting back to you. I ended up planning everything and buying all the supplies since I had no idea who was going to show up to help.

I’ve got a couple games for you. Not sure what to call them, but they are both favs at our church’s children’s Halloween party each year.
For the one game, you’ll need a couple (maybe several) pieces of thin rope or jump ropes or one long pieces of rope that can be extended across a room and a BUNCH of doughnuts.
Put a doughnut suspended on the rope(s) for each child and have the children race to eat the doughnut without being able to use their hands. First child to eat their doughnut wins!
Buy a blue plastic dollar table cloth, several pieces of dowling about two feet long. Attach string to one end of the dowling and a chothespin to the other end of the string. Then tape the tablecloth to both sides of a doorframe from the floor to about two feet or so from the top of the frame. Have the kids on one side to “fish” and an adult, two or three on the other side to put the “fish” (prize) on the fishing line. The prize can be either a cookie in a ziplock bag, Halloween toys (cheap ones), or candy.
The kids love both games!
