It seemed everyone I knew or almost knew was having a baby and I didn’t have the $$ to buy so I made. My specialty was ugly dolls for the kids to chew. I called them ugly but they weren’t creepy ugly, just, um, rustic I suppose. I stuffed them just how you did, leftovers and something that crinkled. One mom told me a few years later that her kid loved the ‘ugly’ doll, so that was nice to hear.
I’m glad you addressed the button…I was concerned, like did you like the kid? Good idea for gluing it also.
Now I know how I can make one for the newest crop of babies at church. Thanks for the idea!
