i’m sorry..can’t help it..love me some downeast
all different sizes
and put my diaper (luvs…) cardboard in between the shirt so I could easily pin on the strips
and started pinning.
then I just sewed each strip!
warning…..I took a millionbijillion pictures….and to tell you the truth..I don’t like any of them…
I took this picture…and thougth my stomach looked bigger than the girls (which it is…but don’t tell the girls….we don’t want to hurt their feelings)
so I took this picture trying to overcompensate.
last time I took a bathroom picture someone asked about my necklace holder….
just a cork board painted and then I stuck push pins to hang the necklaces
I made my bed special just for you…
you should feel loved.
and I’ve worn it again since then…(this is after it’s been washed!) it curled a little…but I like it all the same!
in my daughter’s room..

This seems really doable!! Love it. 🙂
I love that shirt!!!! You did a great job it looks just like the inspiration!!
I love it! I love to go into downeast and look at all of their cute clothes! I always try and remember how they all look, because I think I can copy them for so much cheaper, but I never get around to it! I am so glad you did this…gives me some motivation! Maybe…just maybe I will try this! By the way…all the pictures are adorable! I don't think you could take a bad picture!
LOVE IT!!! You are too stinking adorable!

Really cute. I saw a yellow one similar to it at F21. I have totally considered making my own. On a side note, I too make my bed special for picture days. I figure it's a double bonus: made up in the pics and the hubby loves that I made it.
putting this on my to do list i love it !
Following you !
Love love love it! And super easy. Definitely trying this!
Now that it has curled up you can add another row in between and it will be even rufflier (that is NOT a word!) you will have SUPAH ruffles.

What does it say about me that I was all, "Wow, that shirt is really cute. But OMG look how clean her house is!!! She must really have her life together!" Sigh.
Looks awesome. Sewing knits makes me want to punch something, though, so this is going to have to wait until my sewing nerves have calmed a little. 😉

I like that!!! And the cute little cardigans you're wearing both times! 🙂
That turned out super cute! I'm afraid of ruffles for some reason, afraid that I'll look to poufy. Your hair looks super cute by the way 🙂
This turned out really cute! I may do something like this for my little gymnast girl – this Mommy is a little too middle-age-spready-while-also-being-short to purposely put horizontal ruffles on my midsection.

I like it better after being washed. Hmmm… I might have to try this….
Love it! Can't wait to try it!
These are great. The above T shirt is used by young girls for looking smart and stylish. Thanks for sharing this unique information.

love it Kim.

Girl, that is CUTE! I've got to show my skinny girl (who took a sewing class last summer). Maybe she'll start sewing again.
Would you please come link this up over at my place?

I'm blog hopping today, so new reader here but I am totally subscribing RIGHT NOW.
I would like to ask – did you handstitch or use a machine? That would be so so cute with some embroidery thread handstitched – maybe on top of the machine stitching. I think I'm going to try this today. My 18mo daughter is a messy bessy and I might be able to save a shirt or two with this treatment.
I think your remake is cuter than the original! I love buying plain boring T's (like when Joanns has a sale on theirs) and cutting em up in different ways to make em look cute. Now I will have to try adding to them. Thanks for the inspiration!
