My daughter put on a kid’s craft club during spring break–and one of the cute activities was this SLIME BAR! A whole slime making station. I don’t know if your kids are still in love with slime…but mine are OBSESSED!!! I wanted to share it here because it would be such a fun way to celebrate the first day of summer–or keep the kids busy during summer-or a great birthday party! and I even have free printables for you!
Things you need to create a slime bar:
- glue
- shaving cream (the dollar store has the biggest bottle for the cheapest)
- Borax (this
- bowls
- spoons
- lotion (optional. Helps make the slime stretchy.
- mix ins (glitter, eyeballs, Lots of these we found at the dollar store)
- slime container
- Printables (down below)
The very best slime recipe that we love is here– A few people have mentioned concerns about the borax. We mix it in before we touch it with our hands–and we have never had any problems! (plus it’s dissolved into water–and a little goes a long way)
There are so many different kinds of glue. Glow in the dark, glitter, color changing, neon. You can buy one of each kind–or just a big gallon of white and add some food coloring!
I just cut apart some colored cardstock for the supplies to sit around to add to the fun slime vibe.
as well as cutting apart a plastic tablecloth to look like the slime was oozing down!
The printables are fun and have all the gross names:
- goo: glue
- Glop-shaving cream
- ooze: borax/water mixture
- gunk: add ins
- sludge: lotion
The instructions are part of the printable–Just a fun way to show the how to!
and of course had to add some rules….just a disclaimer before we sent those kids home!
We had the kids place them in these fun containers to keep them safe–but you could put them in a sandwich baggie.
Grab the printable down below! And please remember to pin so other’s can see the fun!
